Dessert Bar Manager

Job description

We are hiring for a Dessert Bar Manager to work alongside our owners to operate our dessert bar in Wyong. We are looking for someone that is friendly, welcoming, and has supervisor or management experience in a cafe or hospitality environment.

JOB TYPE: Permanent Part Time

LOCATION: Wyong, NSW

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Managing and ensuring an excellent customer experience – from customers entering the dessert bar, to eating, and when they leave. It is paramount that they have an excellent experience
  • Managing front of house area, including but not limited to:
    • Greeting customers upon arrival to store
    • seating them,
    • explaining how to place their order,
    • providing friendly customer service by checking in on their meals,
    • waiting desserts to tables
    • making coffee
  • Managing staff and rostering
  • Training staff
  • Serving marshmallows and gelato for take away and dine in,
  • making order lists for marshmallows, gelato and other stock.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace, and abide by workplace health and safety policies and procedures
  • Other tasks as required

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 2 years hospitality experience
  • Minimum 1 years supervisor experience
  • Managed a team of 5 or more members,
  • Excellent customer service skills,
  • Barista trained
  • Great time management skills
  • The ability to multitask and prioritise jobs.

HOURS

Possible hours per week: (please note that these are subject to change)

Thursday 5pm ‚Äď 10:00pm

Friday 5pm ‚Äď 10:00pm

Saturday 12pm ‚Äď 10:00pm

Sunday 12pm-5pm

Part-time hours: 20+ per week

JOB TYPE:  Casual 

LOCATION:  Wyong, NSW

MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Preparation of desserts, milkshakes coffee etc
    • General cleaning, washing duties
    • Greeting customers upon arrival to store¬†
    • seating customers, providing friendly customer service by checking in on their meals,¬†
    • waiting desserts to tables
    • making coffee
    • serving marshmallows and gelato for take away and dine in,¬†
    • making order lists for marshmallows, gelato and other stock.¬†
    • Maintain a clean and safe workspace, and abide by workplace health and safety policies and procedures
    • Other tasks as directed¬†

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 

    • Minimum 1 years hospitality experience¬†
    • Experience in a fast pace work environment¬†
    • Barista trained, preferred.
    • Great time management skills.
    • The ability to multitask and prioritise jobs.
